Credit Recovery

If you or your student have failed a class that is needed for graduation they will have to make that credit up using Credit Recovery. None of the options listed below are approved by the NCAA.

Kearns High School Credit Recovery

FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY: 
WE HAVE WAIVED THE CREDIT RECOVERY FREE. ALL CREDIT RECOVERY THROUGH KEARNS IS FREE!
To start on your Credit Recovery Process through Kearns High School you will need to:
  • Meet with your counselor for a referral
    • Can be done over email, phone call, or in person.
  • Pay the $30 fee per quarter credit to the Bookkeeper (currently waived)
  • Send proof of payment to your counselor
Once Counselors receive the proof of payment you will be enrolled into a Canvas Course for the subject area you are working on. We will send you an access code to the appropriate test. In order to receive the credit you need to:
  • Receive a 60% or higher on the test
    • You have 3 attempts to complete the test
    • You are limited to 1 week to complete the course work
Kearns High School Counselors are offering In-Person Credit Recovery on Distance Learning Days throughout the year. To sign up for In-Person Credit Recovery please fill out the form to the right.
  • All In-Person Credit Recovery will be from 10 AM - 12 PM
  • You must work for the entire time
  • Please email your counselor to be enrolled in credit recovery prior to coming to these sessions
This is not a social hour, but is an opportunity to get caught up on your credit recovery. If you are caught trying to utilize this opportunity as a social hour you will be asked to leave and unable to take part of this opportunity in the future.

Granite Connections Learning Lab

With the Granite Connections Learning Lab you will complete a packet and take an exam to earn the needed credit. Tutoring is provided for free in the lab as needed. The lab does have hours that are available to utilize:
  • Monday - Thursday: 730 am till 5 pm
  • Friday - 730 am till 4 pm
There is a $45.00 fee per quarter and you must receive a referral from your counselor prior to attending.

Northridge Learning Center

With Northridge Learning Center you will need to complete a packet and take an exam to earn the needed credit. There is a $55.00 fee per quarter credit. For more information you can call them at 801-776-4532 or visit their website at Northridgelearningcenter.com
